How do I remove the vehicle modem access for authorized users?

You can remove an authorised user's modem access by completing a modem reset on your vehicle's SYNC®* or Lincoln Digital Experience®** screen. For more information, refer to the steps below.

Important:

  • This reset removes all the Lincoln app accounts linked to your vehicle.
  • To remove all previous owners, users, data, and in-vehicle settings, perform a master/factory reset. A master/factory reset also deletes your navigation favourites, SiriusXM††® presets, and makes all SYNC 4 subscriptions unavailable for up to 10 days.

Resetting Your Vehicle's Modem

Important: Ensure your vehicle is on and running in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.
