How do I lock and unlock my Lincoln vehicle remotely?

You can use the Lincoln app, your smartwatch, key fob, iOS® Home Screen, or iOS Control Center to remotely lock and unlock your vehicle. See the instructions below for more details. 

Important: 

  • The Lincoln app Remote Commands are not substitutes for having your key fob on hand. You should not leave your key fob at home or inside your vehicle.
  • Your vehicle still requires the presence of a key (or Phone as a Key™*) to put it in drive (D).

Remote lock/unlock is not a standard feature for all vehicles. The following conditions must be met:

Using The Lincoln App

  1. Open the Lincoln app.
  2. Go to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Tap the Lock or Unlock icon. 

The request will load, your vehicle status will change, and a green check mark will appear on the icon you selected.

Using Your Smartwatch

  1. Open the Lincoln app on your smartwatch screen.
  2. Select your vehicle.
  3. Access the remote command screen.
    • Apple® Watch users - Swipe down to the second screen.
    • Android™ smartwatch users - Swipe left to the second screen.
  4. Press the Lock or Unlock icon.

Once the command is successful, a green check will replace the icon.

Using Your Key Fob

Press the Lock or Unlock button on your key fob.

Using Your iOS Control Center

Lock and unlock controls can be set up in the iOS Control Center on iOS 18 and later. To learn more about customizing your iOS Control Center, visit Apple's support site for more details. 

Using Your iPhone® Action Button

Lock and unlock controls can be set up with your iPhone Action Button on iOS 18 and later. To learn more about customizing your iPhone Action Button, visit Apple's support site for more details. 

Note: The Action button is only available on select iPhone models. For more information regarding device compatibility, visit the iPhone User Guide via the Apple Support site.

Using Shortcuts on Your iPhone

Lock and unlock controls can be set up with iPhone Shortcuts on iOS 18 and later. To learn more about customizing your iPhone Shortcuts, visit Apple's support site for more details.
