Why is the wireless charging pad in my Lincoln not charging my phone?

Your device may not be compatible with standard Qi* wireless charging. Some phones include built-in wireless charging capabilities, while others will require a special wireless charging case to be compatible.

Refer to your device's manufacturer's manual to see if it meets the Qi wireless charging standard. If your phone is not compatible with Qi wireless charging:

  • You may receive a message on your phone stating the device is not positioned properly on the charging pad.
  • The charging pad may be inoperative.
  • The charging pad may be charging slowly.
  • The phone charging icon in the center of the SYNC®** screen may not be showing.

If your device or case is Qi-compatible and you are still experiencing these symptoms, visit your Lincoln Retailer or Ford Dealer for diagnosis.

Note: Non-Qi-compatible devices can be charged with a manufacturer-approved USB cable using your vehicle's USB port.
