How do I use cruise control in my Lincoln?

Cruise Control Feature Types

The table below provides general information about different types of cruise control features. To find out which features your vehicle is equipped with, refer to your vehicle's build sheet or window sticker.

Cruise Control Feature TypeDescription
Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control allows your vehicle to reduce speed in response to traffic conditions and return to the set speed once conditions improve.

Adaptive Cruise Control provides:

  • Advanced radar technology to monitor traffic ahead and scan for slower vehicles.
  • Automatic distance management to maintain a safe gap between vehicles.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop And GoAdaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go allows your vehicle to maintain a preset speed and distance from the vehicle driving in front of you. It will ensure the vehicle comes to a complete stop when needed.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering

Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering reads the lane markings to help keep your vehicle centered in the lane.

Notes:

  • Lane Centering is not designed to operate on tight radius curves, such as highway ramps, or lanes that are abnormally wide or narrow.
  • Your hands must remain on the steering wheel.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control adjusts the cruise set speed to the speed limit detected by the vehicle's Speed Sign Recognition system. For example, if the speed sign recognition system detects an 80 km/h speed limit, the cruise control speed updates to 80 km/h.
