What should I do if I cannot unlock my Lincoln with Phone As A Key?
If you are not able to unlock your vehicle using the Phone As A Key™* feature, see the requirements and steps below.
Phone As A Key Requirements
To use Phone As A Key, you must meet the requirements below.
- Phone As A Key is available for your vehicle.
- You have added your vehicle to the Lincoln Way App.
- Your Lincoln Connect®† modem is activated.
- Your vehicle's Connectivity Settings are turned on.
- Your mobile device's Bluetooth® Wireless Technology is enabled and running version 4.2 or greater.
- You have a supported mobile device running:
- iOS® 16.0 and later.
- Android™ 9.0 and later.
- Facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, or a passcode is set up on your mobile device.
- Your Bluetooth-enabled device is within 40 meters to authorize for use.
Troubleshooting Steps
If you are unable to unlock your vehicle using Phone As A Key:
- Move your phone closer to your vehicle.
- Ensure that the Lincoln Way App is running on your phone.
- Check your device's Bluetooth settings for any pairing to the vehicle's Phone As A Key system. If your smartphone is paired, it will display the last 5 digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the vehicle's model name.
- If the phone is connected, press the Remote Unlock button in the app.
- If the phone is not connected or the Remote Unlock button does not work in the app, force close and restart the Lincoln Way App.
