How do I remove the vehicle modem access for authorized users?

You can remove an authorised user's modem access by completing a modem reset on your vehicle's SYNC®* or Digital Experience®** screen. For more information, refer to the steps below.

Important:

  • This reset removes all the Lincoln app accounts linked to your vehicle.
  • To remove all previous owners, users, data, and in-vehicle settings, perform a factory reset. A factory reset also deletes your navigation favourites, SiriusXM® presets, and makes all SYNC 4 subscriptions unavailable for up to 10 days.

Resetting Your Vehicle's Modem

Important: Ensure your vehicle is on and running in a well-ventilated area, and is in Park (P).

Select your SYNC generation or Digital Experience from the drop-down options below to learn how to reset your vehicle's modem. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.
