What are Lincoln Digital Scents?
The Lincoln Digital Scent feature is an in-cabin scent diffusion technology designed to help maintain a feeling of peacefulness and serenity while creating an aromatic sanctuary for drivers and passengers.
Notes:
- 2024 Nautilus vehicles equipped with Digital Scent will come with three unique scents from the factory: Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure, and Violet Cashmere.
- Lincoln offers four additional scents for you to purchase and try: Cloud Balsam, Serene Seashore, Twilight Embers, and Sunlight Retreat. Making a total of seven different scents available.

Digital Scent Overview
The sense of smell has one of the strongest connections to memory and emotion and can play a significant role in creating an experience for you on the road.
- Lincoln engineers and designers have focused on personal wellness with an expanded lineup of the Lincoln Digital Scent available for eligible vehicles. The team has studied how the senses can affect mood, physical and mental well-being, and how that translates into a relaxing experience for you.
- Lincoln designers worked with perfumers to specially curate four optional fragrances for the brand: Cloud Balsam, Serene Seashore, Twilight Embers, and Sunlight Retreat. The new scents join those included with the feature: Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure, and Violet Cashmere.
- The scent cartridge's usable life depends on usage frequency, but you can expect approximately 6 months.
Easily Customizable
A microchip in each scent cartridge allows touchscreen control with the new Lincoln Digital Experience*. You can control scent dispersion through three levels and customize how the scent is dispersed throughout your drive.

Note: The scent cartridges diffuse from the center console, separately from the vehicle's heating and cooling systems, so you can turn the scent on and off independently. Scent cartridges were rigorously tested in temperatures -40 degrees Fahrenheit (F) to 185 degrees F (-40 degrees Celsius (C) to 85 degrees C).

- The scents are available for purchase individually or a three pack of the original scents.
- Participating Lincoln Dealers will offer Scent Cards (scratch-and-sniff, good for 12 months). This will allow you to smell the different scents prior to purchase.

How long does a Digital Scent cartridge last?
Under normal usage, each Digital Scent cartridge lasts for approximately 120 hours.
Note: Scent depletion may vary based on user settings, such as selected scent intensity and frequency of use. The 120-hour lifespan is with the module at maximum intensity, running continuously. Cartridges could last longer, considering the settings selected.
Will I receive an in-vehicle notification when a scent cartridge needs to be replaced?
There are no pop-up notifications that appear on the main screen to alert you of a low cartridge. Instead, the status of your cartridges is continuously tracked and displayed directly on the Digital Scents screen when you go to select or manage your scents.
How can I check the remaining level of my scent cartridges?
You can view the status of each cartridge on the Digital Scents screen. The system will display the following indicators directly below the name of the scent:
- Low: Displays when the scent level in a cartridge falls below 25%.
- Empty: Displays when the cartridge level reaches 0%.
*Some Lincoln Digital Experience features require a Connected Services plan. Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
