How do I update my SYNC settings preferences?
You can adjust the time, Bluetooth®, and more in the Settings menu of your SYNC 4®* system.
Changing SYNC Preferences
Important: Ensure your vehicle is running and in Park (P) in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.
Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to modify your SYNC settings. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.
Note: Instructions may vary. See your Owner’s Manual for information specific to your vehicle.

SYNC 4
- Select the Settings tile on your vehicle's SYNC 4 screen.
- Choose Preferences.
- Adjust any of the following settings:
- Clock: Set time, select mode, auto daylight savings time, and more.
- Sound: Adjust speaker preferences.
- Bluetooth: Edit the Bluetooth-enabled device list.
- Driver Assist: Lock in the preferences for driver-assist technology use.
- Select Apply to save the changes.
*Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
