How do I use the moonroof on my Lincoln?

You can operate your vehicle's moonroof* by using the moonroof and sunshade control panel buttons on the overhead console.

A - Moonroof open

B - Moonroof vent/close

C - Sunshade open

D - Sunshade close

Opening your sunshade

Press and release the sunshade open (C) button.

Note: The sunshade stops short of its fully opened position for the comfort of rear passengers. To open the sunshade fully, press the sunshade open (C) button again. 

Closing your sunshade

Press and release the sunshade close (D) button.

Note: When closing, the sunshade may stop at the first panel if your vehicle is equipped with a dual-panel moonroof*. Press and release the sunshade close (D) button again to fully close the sunshade.

Opening your moonroof

Note: Ensure your sunshade is open first.

Press the moonroof open (A) button.
Venting your moonroofPress and release the moonroof vent/close (B) button.
Closing your moonroofPress and release the moonroof vent/close (B) button.

The moonroof is equipped with the bounce-back function that will stop your moonroof or sunshade from closing automatically if an obstacle is detected while closing. Follow the steps below to override this function.

  • Sunshade: Press and hold the sunshade close (D) button within 2 seconds of a bounce-back event.
  • Moonroof: Press and hold the moonroof vent/close (B) button within 2 seconds of a bounce-back event.
