How do I request a Compliance Letter for my Lincoln?
To obtain a Safety and Emission and Fuel Type Compliance Letter, also known as a Compliance Letter, for your vehicle in Canada, contact your preferred Lincoln Retailer or Ford Dealer. If the vehicle is in the United States (U.S.), contact the U.S. Client Relationship Center at 1-800-521-4140.
A Compliance Letter is required for all vehicles going from Canada to the U.S. to attest that the vehicle meets all U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
Important: A Recall Clearance Letter is required to obtain a Compliance Letter. The Recall Clearance Letter attests that the vehicle is free of open safety, compliance, and emissions recalls.
For Information on specific requirements to export a vehicle from Canada to the U.S., refer to the U.S. Customs & Border Protection Agency website.
If you need additional assistance, contact a Lincoln Concierge at 1-800-387-9333 or select Chat Now on the Contact Us page of lincolncanada.com.
