My vehicle has been declared a Total Loss by my insurance company. What should I do?
For Financing customers:
If you have written off your vehicle, please contact your vehicle insurance company. Once you and your insurance company reach a settlement, they will mail you a cheque that will be payable to any policy holders and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services. Once you receive the cheque from your insurance company, please have all payees on the cheque sign the back and mail the endorsed cheque to: Box 1800 RPO Lakeshore West, Oakville, ON L6K 0J8. Then contact us for further instructions.
For Lease customers:
If you have written off your vehicle, please contact your vehicle insurance company. Once you have been provided your claim number, please contact Lincoln Automotive Financial Services. Lincoln Automotive Financial Services will then be in touch with your insurance company to reach a settlement. Once Lincoln Automotive Financial Services reaches a settlement with the insurance company, we will contact you.
Please note, if your insurance settlement is less than the amount remaining on your loan, you are still responsible for the outstanding balance. If your insurance settlement is more than the amount remaining on your loan, Lincoln Automotive Financial Services will refund the difference via cheque.
