Protection From All Angles
The Lincoln MKX has six standard airbags.* That includes the Safety Canopy® System, which has side-curtain airbags that cover the windows on both rows of seats and help protect outboard passengers. If a rollover or a side-impact collision is under way, sensors determine within milliseconds whether to initiate airbag deployment. The Lincoln MKX also has standard front-seat side-impact airbags that help provide chest protection.

Surrounded by Safety
The safety cage of the Lincoln MKX features stamped-steel, ladder frame rails to help provide side-impact protection. Side-impact intrusion door beams and energy-absorbing door-trim panels are also designed to help manage impact energy.
A Staple of Safety
The Lincoln MKX is equipped with a four-wheel-disc Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) that helps provide confident stopping power. During hard-braking situations, the system electronically pumps the brakes, helping to prevent wheel lock-up and helping maintain steering control.
Always On Alert
The SOS Post-Crash Alert System* is designed to activate the horn and emergency flashers in the event of an airbag deployment or if a safety belt pretensioner is activated, to alert others that you may need assistance.
* SOS hardware may become damaged or the battery may lose power in a crash, which could prevent operation. Not all crashes will activate an airbag or safety belt pretensioner.

Keyless Entry Keypad
The user-coded keyless entry keypad on the driver's-side door lets you unlock the doors and the liftgate, and activate/deactivate the auto lock system.
SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft System
The system is designed to help prevent the engine from being started unless a coded key, programmed to your vehicle, is used.
Perimeter Alarm System
This security system automatically arms after the vehicle is locked and will sound an alarm if an unauthorized attempt is made to enter the vehicle.
Remote Keyless Entry System
Your vehicle key fob allows you to unlock the doors and liftgate from up to 10 metres away, as well as set off a panic alarm that flashes the parking lamps and sounds the horn.
The Luxury of Peace of Mind
For a little extra help, choose the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert.* When BLIS detects a vehicle in your blind spot, the system illuminates an amber light in the corresponding sideview mirror - alerting you to stay where you are until it's clear. Cross Traffic Alert chimes in by sounding a warning when its sensors detect a vehicle approaching on either side of MKX as you back out of a parking space.
* BLIS replaces standard integrated Blind Spot Mirrors.
