Assistance When Backing Up

Shift into reverse and Lincoln MKS alerts you to objects behind the vehicle by sounding an intermittent beep inside the vehicle. The closer you get to the object, the faster the beep sounds – becoming a solid tone when you get within six inches of the object.

A Little Help Going Forward

The Forward Sensing System can detect objects in front of MKS to make parallel parking much easier. At speeds below 8 mph, the system alerts the driver to obstacles with an audible beep.

You Can See Clearly Now

The bright, white light from the High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps supplies excellent down-the-road illumination. To help make even more of the roadway visible, Adaptive HID Headlamps with Auto High Beams swivel in the direction of the turn helping you see better at night and have more time to react. And the Auto High Beams feature turns the high beams on and off automatically, helping you stay focused on the road.

The Luxury of Peace of Mind

For a little extra help, choose the available BLIS^® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert.* When BLIS detects a vehicle in your blind spot, the system illuminates an amber light in the corresponding sideview mirror – alerting you to stay where you are until it's clear. Cross Traffic Alert chimes in by sounding a warning when its sensors detect a vehicle approaching on either side of MKS as you back out of a parking space.
